WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts (30-10) lost 9-1 to the Winnipeg Goldeyes (25-15) at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium on Friday night.

Winnipeg hit three home runs in the win, and took early control with a four-run top of the second. With the bases loaded and no outs, Kyle Day lined a double down the left field line to score Luis Alen and Gabby Martinez with the games' first two runs. David Naradowski made it 3-0 with an RBI groundout to first base. Dan Barbero singled home Day with a soft line drive to left field.
Alen cracked a two-run home run to deep left in the top of the third. A solo shot from Day and a two-run homer from Chris Roberson in the top of the fourth finished off the Goldeyes' offensive attack.
Wichita's lone run came in the bottom of the fourth on a line drive homer to left-center from John Rodriguez. Rodriguez finished the game 3 for 4.
Shawn Lewick took the loss in his professional debut, allowing nine earned runs on 11 hits in five innings. Lewick walked one and struck out two. Lewick was signed following Thursday night's game.
Andrew Aizenstadt, Nick Walters, and Jared Simon combined for four shutout relief innings. The trio did not allow a hit or a walk.
Andrew Walker started and won for Winnipeg. Walker allowed one earned run on five hits over eight innings. Walker walked one and struck out five.
