EL PASO, TX- Thursday night's game between the Wichita Wingnuts and El Paso Diablos has been postponed due to inclement weather and will be made up as part of a double header Monday (August 27th) evening at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
Monday's twinbill begins at 5:05 p.m. to begin what is now a five-game series.
It is the first total postponement of a Wingnuts game (home or road) since August 8th, 2010 at Sioux City. Including the postseason, the Wingnuts had gone 212 consecutive games without a rainout. Wichita's last scheduled double header took place on August 17th, 2010 at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium.
The Wingnuts are currently 51-38, and began Thursday with a 6.0-game lead over the Kansas City T-Bones in the Central Division with 11 games left in the regular season.
