WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts and National Baseball Congress are encouraging residents of Wichita and the surrounding areas to attend the Kansans Loving Newtown, CT fundraising event at Tanganyika Wildlife Park this Friday evening.
The fundraiser will benefit those affected by the recent tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT and takes place from 6:30-9:30 p.m. Admission is $10 per individual or $25 per family, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the victims' families. The park is located at 1000 S. Hawkins Ln. in Goddard, KS. The family-friendly, come-and-go event includes a raffle, live auction, and special appearances from several of the park's wildlife.
"Words cannot express the sympathy we feel for the families in Newtown after this horrific tragedy," said Wingnuts' General Manager Josh Robertson. "Our organization wants to help in anyway we can, and to keep the victims and their families in our thoughts and prayers."
