Wingnuts, Pepsi Announce Partnership
WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts and Pepsi Cola announced a five-year partnership on Thursday afternoon.
"Pepsi is a brand that's known worldwide and we are delighted to be working with them for the next five seasons", said Wingnuts' President Josh Robertson. "We've had a great relationship with Coca Cola over the last six years, but this was a great opportunity to gain tremendous exposure for our organization."
The partnership takes place immediately and makes Pepsi Cola the official soft drink provider at Lawrence-Dumont Stadium. As part of the deal, the Wingnuts will have their logo on 250,000 Pepsi cans throughout the state of Kansas.
"We are very excited to be working with the Wingnuts", said Pepsi Cola's New Business Sales Manager Steve King. "They have offered a great product for fans of all ages over the last two years and we are proud to now be a part of that."
Wichita hosts the Kansas City T-Bones in an exhibition match on Saturday at 7:05 p.m. The Wingnuts open the 2010 season on May 13th at St. Paul. Wichita's 2010 home opener is set for Tuesday, May 18th versus the Sioux Falls Pheasants. For tickets, call the Wingnuts' office at (316) 264-NUTS.
