WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts, proud member of the American Association of Professional Baseball (AA), hosted their preseason party on Tuesday night at the Broadview Hotel.
Among the guests in attendance were representatives from Total Venue Control, who were on hand to answer questions and introduce their Cashless System to the public for the first time. This season, Lawrence Dumont will be the first stadium in the country to move to a cashless system. Automated registers will be placed at concession stands so people can select what they want, slide their pre-paid card and continue watching the ball game. Fans may also receive a cash refund following each game and the cards are good for two years.
The Wingnuts players and staff were also introduced to the public and complimentary food and drinks were furnished courtesy of Gametime Food and Beverage, the new concessionaire of Lawrence Dumont Stadium. The night kicked off with a welcome introduction from Mayor Carl Brewer.
