GRAND PRAIRIE, TX- The Grande Prairie Airhogs took the second game of a three-game series, defeating the Wichita Wingnuts 7-2 on Saturday night in Texas.
Michael Thompson had a home run for the Wingnuts and has now recorded a hit in all 10 games this season. Demetri White suffered the loss for Wichita, allowing seven runs in 2 1/3 innings. Ronnie Ball and Daniel Caldwell pitched 5 2/3 innings of scoreless relief for the Wingnuts.
The Wingnuts and Airhogs will conclude their series, in a battle between the American Association's two expansion teams, on Sunday at 7:05 p.m. at Grand Ptairie.
