WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts announced today that the Colorado Rockies have acquired outfielder Dustan Mohr.
A 12th-year pro and seven-year Major League veteran, Mohr will be making his second stint with the Rockies when he reports to their AAA affiliate the Colorado Springs Sky Sox today.
Mohr split the 2005 season, his best as a pro, between Colorado and Colorado Springs, hitting 17 home runs that season with the Rockies. Mohr, who has 504 games of MLB experience, played seven games last season with the Tampa Bay Devil Rays.
Mohr was hitting .209 with the Wingnuts this season and ranked second on the team with 13 runs batted in. The Wingnuts expect to fill Mohr’s spot on their 22-man roster today.
