WICHITA, KS- The Wichita Wingnuts blasted the Sioux Falls Canaries 8-1 on Tuesday night at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
The Wingnuts exploded for six runs on six hits in the third inning, sending 11 men to the plate. David Gates knocked in two of the runs with a single and then later stole home. Catcher Felipe Del Rosario added a two-run homer in the sixth.
Starter Gustavo Mata allowed a first inning run and that was it, going seven innings for his second win of the season.
