WICHITA, KS- Brad Davis pitched a complete game, leading the Wingnuts to a 5-1 win over the Sioux Falls Canaries on Thursday at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
Davis stymied the Canaries, allowing just three hits, no walks and striking out seven. The only blemish was a ninth inning home run by Beau Torbert. Davis also had six assists.
The Wingnuts were aided by six Canaries' errors, four by starting pitcher Travis Kane. Catcher Felipe Del Rosario scored in the third and fifth, while the 'Nuts added three runs in the seventh to take the series.
The Wingnuts, now 13-8 overall and 8-2 at home, will start a four-game series with the Sioux City Explorers on Friday at 7:05 p.m. For tickets call the Wingnuts office at (316) 264-4625.
