WICHITA, KS- The Sioux Falls Canaries touched Wingnuts starter Gustavo Mata for six early runs, en route to a 13-1 victory on Monday Night at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
Beau Torbert led the Canaries, going 4-5 and hitting for the cycle. Torbert also stole a base and drove in five runs. Tim Hutting also hit his third home run of the season for Sioux Falls.
Chris Colton knocked in Michael Thompson in the sixth inning for Wichita's lone run. The Wingnuts and Canaries will battle again Tuesday at 7:05 p.m. on Shiner Bock Beer for a Buck Night. For tickets call the Wingnuts office at (316) 264-4625.
