WICHITA, KS - The Wichita Wingnuts hung on for a 5-2 win against the St. Paul Saints on Saturday tp split their four game series at Midway Stadium.
Brad Davis earned his sixth win, striking out a season-high eight and walking none in 5.1 IP. Kevin Cheppenko, Amad Stephens, and Byron Embry pitched scoreless baseball over the final 3.2 IP to preserve the win. Embry earned his 16th save.
Wichita led 2-0 in the fourth when Brenan Herrera broke the game open with a two-out bases loaded three-run double to straight away center field. The Wingnuts also got RBIs from Michael Thompson and Vic Davilla. Davilla got Wichita on the board with a solo homerun leading off the second.
