WICHITA, KS - Brad Davis pitched seven shutout innings and Dustan Mohr hit two homeruns to lead the Wingnuts to a 5-0 win over the Sioux City Explorers on Friday night.
The fourth shutout in Wingnuts history came one night after the Wingnuts were shutout twice in a double header on Thursday. Mohr hit a solo homerun in the second to get Wichita on the board, and then clubbed a three-run shot in the sixth to break the game open at 5-0. Blake Gailen hit an RBI double in the third to account for Wichita's other run. It was Gailen's 100th professional base hit.
Wichita sends Larry Robles to the mound on Saturday to try and gain a split of the four-game series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
