WICHITA, KS - Wichita lost 4-1 to Sioux Falls on Wednesday night, dropping their fourth game in a row.
The Canaries completed a four-game sweep of the Wingnuts behind Patrick Reilly's three-run homerun off Wichita starter Brad Davis. Canaries' starter Pat Mahomes kept the Wingnuts to a season-low three hits while striking out 11 in his eight innings of work. Kris Regas struck out the side in the ninth inning to pick up the save.
Davis kept the Wingnuts in the game, allowing four runs in seven innings, but took the loss. Wichita scored its lone run on a two-out RBI single from Michael Thompson.
This marks the second time this year the Wingnuts have lost four games in a row. Wichita opens a three-game series at St. Paul tomorrow night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
