WICHITA, KS - Thursday and Friday's Wingnuts games will not be broadcast locally on 1410AM KGSO.
Wichita begins a three-game series against St. Paul at Midway Stadium Thursday night at 7:05 p.m. The Wingnuts are currently 8.0 games out of first place with nine left to play in the second half. However, Wichita is only 2.5 games behind both Lincoln and Sioux City for the North Division Wild Card. If first half champion Sioux Falls also wins the second half, then the team with the second best overall record claims the wild card. Sioux Falls is currently 0.5 games behind first place Sioux City.
The 74th annual National Baseball Congress World Series will be carried on KGSO each of the next two nights. The semi-final will be held Thursday at 7:00 p.m., while the championship game is scheduled for Friday at 6:00 p.m. There is also an if-necessary championship game scheduled for 9:00 p.m.
