Sellout crowd watches Wingnuts win again

Wichita, KS- Kelly Hunt hit his first home run of the season and Joe Muich went 3-4, leading the Wingnuts to a 6-4 win over the Sioux Falls Canaries on Tuesday in front of 6,175 fans at Lawrence Dumont Stadium.
Sioux Falls got on the board in the third, scoring two runs on a two-run single by Beau Torbert. The Wingnuts notched one in the bottom of the inning then went ahead with three in the third, sending eight runners to the plate. Josh Horn and Brenan Herrera had RBI in the inning. Sioux Falls tied the game in the fifth, before Wichita went ahead to stay on an RBI single from Stephen Pearson in the bottom of the inning. Pearson knocked in an insurance run in the seventh.
Gabe Medina notched the win going seven strong innings, with Tyler Rhoden and Amad Stephens closed things out with an inning of work each.
Wichita will host the Sioux Falls Canaries at 7:05 p.m. again on Wednesday. Will Savage will get the start. For tickets call the Wingnuts office at (316) 264-4625.
