2007

Kash Beauchamp on Steve: Steve is a really good defensive first baseman. He can really pick it around the bag, and he hit the ball well for me last year. He’s got some power. What I like about him is he can really drive the ball the other way, which plays well in this ballpark being a lefthanded hitter. The wind blows out to left here a lot, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he hits several opposite field homeruns here. I love Steve’s ability around the bag, and defensively he’s able to pick the ball and really knows how to play the position at first base. If we needed him to, he could also go to the outfield which is just another feather in his cap.
